Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 has many advantages when it is connected with Exchange 2007.
Exchange Server 2007 offers many new features: improved support for calendaring, unified messaging, fast and accurate search, etc. Outlook 2007 offers support for these new Exchange Server features. Using Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2003 will not benefit the end-users.
It is recommended to upgrade to Outlook 2007 before upgrading to the new Exchange version.

The improved version of Outlook includes:

  • Autodiscover service (ability to find the mail server)
  • Instant search - fully integrated
  • To-Do bar to easily manage information
  • Scheduling meeting is improved
  • Scheduling and customizing Out of Office message for internal and external contacts
  • Managing shared information, interaction with documents stored in SharePoint
  • Receiving e-mail, voice mail and faxes in one plane when using the unified messaging role server
